Well, hello, everybody, and welcome to a very special edition of the ABA Coffee In The Park. My name is Cam Milliken, and I am here with my co-host extraordinaire, Jennifer Herrick, the Executive Director of the Acheson Business Association. Hello, Jennifer. Hello, Cam. Well, it is quite the snowy morning out here. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. I don't know where this came from. It wasn't forecasted. No, it wasn't, that's the thing, but man, it is snowing. Snowfall warning. Yeah, snowfall warning, in effect. That's right. Wow, like it is Christmas. It is. Yeah. We will have snow for Christmas. No kidding, eh? It's going to be amazing. Anyway, yeah, today there's a lot of snow. And like I said, this is a very special edition of the ABA Coffee In The Park because this is... This is our Christmas edition. Our Christmas edition. Like the Thanksgiving edition. That's right. And so we're going to talk all things Christmas today. We are. But before we do that, we want to let you know that we're coming to you live from the Wall Coffee Roasters in the heart of beautiful downtown Acheson. That's right. And so if you hear some noises in the background, people talking, coffee machines whirring, whatever is going on, it's because we're at the coffee shop. And you know what? It's busy in here today. No kidding. For the weather outside. If the weather outside is frightful. Yeah, people are coming into the coffee shop. They are. It's amazing. You know what it is? No. Nobody wants to work the week before Christmas. Too close to Christmas. Nobody wants to work. Everybody is coming to the coffee shop. Exactly. So, if you are listening to this, well, this will be released, well, actually tomorrow. Tomorrow. Yeah. But you can come to the coffee shop. And by the way, the coffee shop, Jennifer, great gift ideas here at the coffee shop. Yeah. So, you will listen to this episode at noon on Thursday. There's still time to come to The Wall Coffee Roaster Friday. I believe Michael's open Saturday, maybe even Monday before Christmas. Yeah. And get stocking stuffers, coffee, gift cards for Uncle George. That's right.$200 gift card. What's a better gift? He's got merch. He has t-shirts and sweatshirts. Yeah. And I think even like coffee presses, he's got a variety. And then while you're here, he's got like four or five specialty Christmas coffee. You can try one of those. Yeah. So come on down to The Wall Coffee Roaster. You know what? And yeah. Support, shop local. Shop local. Shop local. It's awesome. So anyway, before we go any further though, we got some people we need to thank. So let's do that. Well, we'd like to thank our gold corporate sponsors, which include the MyShak group of companies, Genics and Parkland County. Wow. Thank you to these businesses for all that they've done for the ABA in 2024 and jumping on board as our gold corporate sponsors. Yeah. We really appreciate it. They're amazing. And without them, we could not do what we do. That's right. Thanks. Appreciate it. So, let's talk Christmas. So, first question. Yes. Are you done your shopping? You know, the honest truth is no. I actually, I'm going to, okay, total transparency here. I don't actually do a lot of shopping. My daughter, I send her out to shop for my wife. Smart. Yeah, she does that. I just give her the money and she does it. Matter of fact, while we're sitting here, I just got a text and the text said I got it. We're done. Oh, see, then you are done. Yeah. And then my wife, she shops for me and my daughter. So yeah, I don't really do much. I have to be honest. You know what? Oh, if you can avoid the malls, people, avoid the malls. No, don't go to the malls. Terrible. Have you tried to go to West Edmonton Mall close to Christmas? I only go to West Edmonton Mall for one reason, and that's Chick-fil-A, because I love Chick-fil-A. But you're right. There's just people everywhere. The lineups. And I can't handle it. No, no, there's just too many people. You know, no. So Amazon is my best friend. Well, yeah, Amazon is good, but I really do encourage people to shop local. No kidding. Like if you're in an area where there's some nice little shops that sell some cool things. Yeah, go there. I agree. Yeah. There's some support. Why not? The mall doesn't. Well, I better not say that. I'll get in trouble. But you know, just support local. But the local people that you are supporting, buying your Christmas gifts, give so much back to the community. And we've had guests on our show. That's right. That are great local businesses. They really are. And they sell great products. They do. And so yeah, check it out. Exactly. Yeah, it's good. I like it. I like that idea. So anyway, if you don't haven't done your Christmas shopping yet, if you're a guy like me, Shoppers Drug Mart is open till midnight on the 24th. You can get Lotto tickets. You can get soap. You can get, oh, you know what? You can even buy socks there. So you're good. You can get socks. You can get soap. You can get perfume. Chocolates. Chocolates. Oh yeah. Yep. All that last minute stuff that makes it look like you shop days in advance. But you didn't really. But anyway, so yeah, so Christmas is coming. Jennifer, are you ready for Christmas? I'm as ready as I'm going to be. Yeah. Yeah. No kidding, eh? You know what? There comes a point. Well, Christmas starts so early. Like, August at Costco, I know, August, they got trees up. It's like really, really. And the same thing with the Christmas music. I know. You know what? I love a good Christmas carol, but for the love of goodness, people, do not start playing it until December. Exactly. I agree. I don't need two months of Christmas music. 100%. But now, so that being said, yes, while we're on the topic, tell me what is your favorite Christmas carol? Oh, easy. I don't even have to think about this. What is it? It's Oh Holy Night. Oh Holy Night. And I was listening to it last night. Well, multiple versions of it last night. It's just, I don't know what it is. It's just such a soothing song, and I love it. It is. I love it too. That is a great, great Christmas carol. Oh Holy Night. And I'm like you, there's a lot of different versions out there, and some of them are pretty incredible. I love Oh Holy Night. What else? Oh, what else? What? I'm trying to think of my playlist last night as I'm doing laundry. That's right. Listening to Christmas music, doing laundry. Some things you never stop. You know what? Christmas does not stop laundry. Just because it's Christmas doesn't mean the clothes don't get dirty. Exactly. I like a little Hark the Herald. Hark the Herald. That's nice. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You and I were talking about the 12 days of Christmas, and we couldn't honestly, people, we got stuck at nine. Yeah. No, we did pretty good. No, we got eight wrong. We mixed up a couple of them. We had more geese, I think, than hens or something like that. But we got pretty good. We got the Lords of Leaping wrong. Lords of Leaping were way off. Way off. Too many Lords of Leaping. So yeah, we should sing it for you, but we're not going to. No, because this will... No. No. But anyway, yeah, that was kind of good. And what about you? Well, I'm like you. I love Oh Holy Night. I really do. I think that's a fantastic carol. And like I say, lots of great little versions on that one. And I really like Silent Night. Silent Night, because I always remember Silent Night is the last carol we played in the church on Christmas Eve. And you had your little candle and everybody got to light their little candle, and you lit the candle next to you. I never got a candle because there was fear of fire. Well, you know what? The candle at church always worried me a little bit. Candles were a new period. Well, this is another podcast, maybe in the New Year, but you're right. But yeah, but I really like, and the other reason I like Silent Night is because we have really good friends here in Edmonton who were related, are related to Hans Gruber in Germany, who wrote Silent Night. Yeah, that's amazing. Yeah. And so that was kind of cool knowing that you were singing a song that somebody standing there, that was their relative who helped write that. That's fantastic. Those are my favorites. I, you know, I'm not much into the fancy dancy, the Mariah Carey kind of stuff. No, not the modern, the traditional. I would agree with you. Yeah, so that's kind of cool. Yep, carols are a big part of it. I love when people sing them. I love all the versions of them. And kind of just, yeah, but not in August. Not in August. No, no. December 1st. Yes. We should have a law that you can't play carols until December 1st. Maybe we should pass this. We should. Should we advocate for this? Yeah, we'll advocate for this. That's right, referendum. Yeah. Anyway, I don't think people would care. Probably not. Okay. So carols, wonderful. Now, let's talk about some other things about Christmas. All right. What about, what is your favorite baking at Christmas? Well, I love all the baking at Christmas. Don't we all? Yeah, don't we all? And by the way, to those companies that dropped off baking at the ABA office, thank you. Yeah, I'm telling you. I just need to say, I was on a pretty good workout routine. That has stopped. Yeah, no. I'm not picking that up till the New Year. Me either. What's the point? What's the point? No, exactly. What's the point of riding my bike for like 35 minutes? When you're eating 17 shortbread cookies. Exactly. And downing like four gingerbread men. No, there's no point. No, there's no point. Everybody needs a break. That's on hiatus. Yeah. And it's not like a New Year's resolution. No, no. But I'm just, yeah. I agree. So thank you. Thank you. For everybody who dropped off baking. Absolutely. So what is your favorite baking? You know, it goes back to something that my grandma made. And so my grandma was from Norway on my dad's side. And she made something called a rosette. A rosette. So it's kind of like a dough that's deep fried. And then put in something, it's called a rosette iron, but it's like a waffle iron. And it makes a little like rose kind of pattern. Oh yeah, my mom used to do that, yeah. And then a little sugar is sprinkled over. Oh, so good. Especially if they're right out of the deep fryer. Yes, amazing, amazing. Okay, well, I didn't know it was called that. That's kind of cool. Okay, what else? Butterhorns. Butterhorns. Yes, my mom makes butterhorns. Butterhorns. Yeah, I love the butterhorns. Now you're going to see your mom and dad. I am. Is your mom going to make you butterhorns? Well, I sure hope she is. Okay, this is a notice to Jennifer's mom from Cam. And she will be listening. Could you please send a couple of butterhorns back for Cam? We'll make sure we get butterhorns back for you. Okay, good. Because I've heard all about these butterhorns. That's right. And it's not fair if I don't get a butterhorn. So they are, it's kind of like a pastry that's wrapped over and then icing over it. Now, I'm a little odd because... No. I'm a little odd. No. Okay. I mean, they're great fresh, but you know what else I love them? I love to eat them frozen. Frozen? I don't know why. Okay. All right. So it's okay if you freeze them and bring them back. It is. It's okay. Okay. But we definitely have to try this. We will. Because you've just talked endlessly about these butterhorns. Now, anything with the word butter, that's good right there. That's what I'm saying. So that's awesome. Yeah. And you? Well, my mom used to make these little cornflake balls where she'd smash up cornflakes, and then she'd buy that Macintosh toffee. Oh, the toffee. You know, the toffee bars? Oh, I love that. And she'd melt that and pour it all over the cornflakes, and she'd make these little balls. They were like amazing. You put them in the fridge and get them all cold and hard. Oh, those were unbelievable. Can you buy that toffee anymore? You know, no, you can, but you got to look for it. Not every store sells it. Just a little hint. You know who always has it? Who always carries it? Freson Brothers. Good to know. We know what? They've got amazing candy selection. Oh, they've got the best candy selection everywhere. They do. And I was there the other day. They have a great Christmas candy section. Amazing. So my mom made those, and then she made nanaimo bars. The best nanaimo bars I ever had in my life. And then she made these things called filbert fingers, and it was a dough with filbert nuts in it, and she would shape them like a little, well, either a frown or a smile, depending on how you put it. And then she'd dip it in milk chocolate. That sounds amazing. Unbelievable. So those are my favorite. And shortbread. Everybody loves shortbread. It's true. Shortbread cookies are amazing. With the little cherry thing in the middle. I like that. Yeah, that's really good. Yeah. Okay. Okay. But here, as we're talking baking, this is going to be a little controversial. Okay. Fruitcake or no fruitcake? No, no, no, no fruitcake. See, this is why you and I get along. Yeah, no fruitcake. First of all, it's way too hard. It reminds me of bricks. You can like build a house with fruitcake. It's like so heavy. Yeah, no, it's heavy. And I don't want fruit in my... And I don't know, it's just that whatever that dough is, if that's the right word, because I don't know anything about fruitcake, it doesn't seem to all... What is that green fruit in there? What fruit is green? I don't know, but yeah, I'm a little leery of that. No. So no, I'm not into fruitcake. No, me either. Yeah, no. So I know people like it. I know. My mom loved it. She thought it was great. You know what, I think it's generational thing. Yeah, I think so. Cup of coffee and fruitcake. But I'm going to be honest, I go to Costco and they sell their fruitcakes. People are buying them. I know. There's a fruitcake shortage. Like the toilet paper shortage we went through. They're buying the fruitcake. It's unbelievable. I agree with you on that. Anyway, yeah. So I'm not big on the fruitcake. Me either. No. Don't want to go that direction. Okay, good. Now, here's one that I love talking about this. This is one of my favorites because at Christmas, there is a ton of great movies and TV shows that come out. So, Jennifer, list your top three Christmas movies or TV shows. Okay, easy. Okay. Christmas Vacation. Number one. Love Christmas Vacation. It's just so funny. Isn't it? You know why? You know why? Because I think all of us have a little Christmas Vacation in our families. It's just, you can watch that, and I've watched it over and over and over, and every time I pick out something different. I gotta be honest. Now, I'm gonna get flack for this. Don't send emails. The part that I love the most is when that cat gets fried in the tree. I just fall on the floor laughing. That is so funny. The best for me is he's waiting and waiting for his Christmas bonus, and he gets a Jelly Of The Month Club. Seriously. I love it. That's just the greatest. That is a great one. And he goes postal. Yeah, he goes postal at Christmas. Which some of us, yeah, anyway, we'll go there. If I got Jelly Of The Month Club, you'd go postal. Maybe. Yeah. Note to self, Jennifer, no Jelly Of The Month for Christmas. Okay. Number two for you. It's not a movie. Yeah. It's a classic TV show. The Charlie Brown Christmas Special. Charlie Brown Christmas. Special. Yes. Okay. Can we just talk about the Charlie Brown Christmas? Yes. As long as I can remember, I remember that was a tradition in our house. As a kid, I couldn't wait for that to be on. Yeah. Yeah. Do you know that that first was aired in 1965? Is that when it was? And it was aired on CBS Television, and it was actually kind of controversial. And you know why? Because it was religious? It was religious, and they thought it's too religious. But Charles Scholes said, No, if you want it, this is the way it's going to be. And they aired it, and it's turned out to be the most popular and watched Christmas TV show. It's so good. Don't you love it? I love it. Don't you love it when they act out the Christmas story, and Linus, he does the whole from Lukey, and they all play a different character? And Snoopy is all the animals? Snoopy is the best. He plays the sheep. He plays the cow Exactly. He does it all. He does it all. I love that. I know. It's the best. It is the best. You can't have Christmas without watching a Charlie Brown Christmas. I agree. And then at the end, it's great because everybody's so sad about the tree, that Charlie Brown failed once again. Poor Charlie Brown. You know what? Charlie Brown. Poor Charlie Brown. They're so hard on Charlie Brown. Charlie Brown. And Snoopy saves the day with his decorated dog house. This is why I love Snoopy. Snoopy is the best. He is. Yeah. No. Okay. And number three. Number three is The Grinch. The Grinch. Yes. The movie, the TV show, the cartoon, which one? So the original Grinch, which I don't know what year. That seems like it should be a 1960s one too. Cindy Luhu. But I also love, and this, he did such a great job, the Jim Carrey version of The Grinch. You know, I'm going to be honest with you, when that first came out or was coming out, I thought to myself, how do you, there's no way you could do kind of a live Grinch. And then they did it and he did it. It's phenomenal. It is phenomenal. Yeah, it really is. Yeah. I love that movie. I do too. I love it. That's a great movie. Yeah. Okay. Okay. Yours? Mine. Okay. Number one would be Home Alone. I love Home Alone. Home Alone is good. And I don't know if it's because I want to be like him. Yes. Kevin, I want to be like Kevin. He was amazing. I just loved it. All his little pranks and everything to save his home. I love that. And not that I was ever left, that I can remember being left Home Alone, but I would want to be like Kevin. Yeah. If I was left Home Alone. Good movie. Good movie. Number two, I'm with you. TV show Charlie Brown Christmas. You know, I'm big into Charlie Brown. I do. I have a Charlie Brown Christmas tree in my office. You do. And I love Charlie Brown Christmas. And then number three is a serious movie, but it's very old. I love Scrooge, but the Alastair Sim version in black and white. I love that movie. Not Mickey Mouse, Christmas Carol, and Scrooge McDuck? No, no, no, no. No, I don't. No, I don't. No, actually, I don't know if I've ever. Oh, you must have seen that one. But anyway, I love it. I love it in black and white. And you know when I love watching it? I love watching it late Christmas Eve. Everybody's gone to bed. Only the tree lights are on. And I'm sitting there watching Scrooge and the ghosts kind of scare me a little bit. It is a little frightening. I take my blanket and I pull it up. Like Linus. Yeah, like Linus. Exactly. And so, yeah, so I'm like, that's how I do that. So those are my favorite three. Those are good three. I really like them. And you know what? There's so many great Christmas movies out there. There really is. There really is. I like the old traditional ones and some of the new ones are really good. They are. Christmas With The Cranks and stuff like that. You know, they're pretty good. Okay, what else should we talk about here? Oh, I have one for you. Okay. Does your family do stockings? Oh, yeah. Okay. But here's the question. When do you open your stockings? Oh, Christmas Day. Christmas Day. Well, Christmas morning. Morning, right. Before you open again. Yes, before you do presents. Right. Okay. You? Well, we're the same. Yeah, we do it Christmas morning, and we have good stockings. Can I just say, stockings have come a long way. I know, but can I just say, it's expensive these days to fill a stocking. Sometimes you're spending more on the stocking than you are on the gift, which is getting a little crazy. What's the one thing you don't like getting in your stocking? Don't give me oranges in my stocking. Oranges. A mandarin orange. No. I don't like that. Yeah, you don't like mandarin oranges in your stocking. Well, not in my stocking. Don't give me fruit. No, I hear you. This is part of the fruitcake. Exactly. No, no. You? Well, gum. Why don't you like gum? I love gum. Because again, I think, and this is no reflection on anything, anyone or anything, but the gum, I think they buy at the dollar store. And I kind of have this thing that dollar store gum has been sitting there for like nine years. Sorry, dollar store. Don't come after us. But they get the gum from other stores that don't like, save on it and they don't sell. So I don't like the gum. You're getting gum from 2021. No. Well, that's it. And you go to chew it, and next thing you know, January, you're at the dentist. So yeah. So and the other thing I don't like in my stocking is I don't like socks. No. Well, yeah, but socks are a staple. I know. I know they are. But I just, I'm not, you know, because I always think of the Mr. Bean Christmas. Oh yeah. And he, but that was, he was ingenious because he had his sock and he had the other sock in the stock. He did. So when he pulled it out, he had a pair of socks. Anyway, I'm not big on socks. But I love socks. I love getting socks for Christmas, just not in my stock. Just not in your stocking. Okay. The one thing I do like getting in my stocking, lottery tickets. I was going to say scratch tickets. Yeah. Yeah. I love that. Me too. Oh yeah. I don't usually win, but I love getting them. Me either, but that's okay. Okay. All right. So okay. Now, let's move on. Now, here's another one. Here's another. Do you have real or artificial tree? Growing up, it was a real tree. A real tree growing up. Yes, always a real tree growing up until, I can't even remember until what age we switched. Yeah. Now, it's artificial. Artificial. Yeah. Just easier. You know what? The lights are done. I know. You can just fold it up, put it away. I hear you. It's just easy. I don't have to worry about... You know my fear of fire? Yes. I don't have to worry about my tree catching on fire. You know what? I make you shut the office tree lights on, even though it's artificial. We have an artificial tree, and Jennifer is always at me about turning the artificial tree lights off. When we go home at night. I just don't want to get into it, because it's just been, I don't know. I don't know. But anyway, so I'm just going to say, the other night I was watching TV, and that guy on PBS, Rick Steves, he travels all over, and he was doing a show from Germany and Austria, and they were doing traditions. Did you know back in the day, they used real trees, but they put real candles on the Christmas trees? It's a little unbelievable. And I thought of you right away, and I thought, oh, right now Jennifer would be having like a mental breakdown. I would. She'd be going crazy. Yeah. And they put like real candles on the tree. I know. And somebody should do a little study on this and statistically look into how many houses burnt down. But I'm just saying, I couldn't believe that. Yeah. Yeah. I know. Because now it's artificial and it's, you know, like you say, the lights are on. We went out and bought a cover for our tree. We don't even take our tree apart. We just cover it and put it in the garage. Oh, see, that's smart. So every year we just take it out. Now we take the decorations off and stuff like that. And then we take the cover off. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. All right. So we've settled that. All right. What else? Christmas related. What should we talk about? Well, I know you have a love for inflatables. Oh, I love Christmas inflatables. But do you have one at your house? Not allowed. Not allowed. No, not allowed. It's a bit of an issue because I really want one. I love them. Every year I see a new one. I think, oh, that would look so great in my yard, but I'm not allowed. And we won't get into why I'm not allowed, but I'm just not allowed. And so my neighbors, some of the neighbors have, and I drive down the street and I see people with inflatables all over their yards. I think it's great. The only time I don't like it is at night. They turn them off and they're all like, bool, bool, bool, onto the ground. But can I just say that inflatables do look much better when there's actually snow on the ground. And they look a little silly when like, it's just on your lawn. I'm with you. I agree with that. Yeah. It looks nice with snow on the ground. But yeah, do you have any inflatables? No. Now what? Now I know what you like. You like Christmas lights. Christmas lights. Yes. But do I have any at my house? No. Because? Tell us why. And he will listen to this podcast. That's right. My husband, Ryan, sorry, man, fell off the roof. I know. That's not good. He's darn lucky. Yeah. And he fell off because he it was a long story. Again, maybe another episode. Right. But no Christmas lights. Sorry, man. Sorry about that. I'm trying to convince him that we need those permanent lights. Do you know which ones I'm talking about? You want a company to come on and put those lights that you can change to any color during the year. If there's any company listening right now, give me a call. We'll give you a commercial spot. Seriously, we will give you. If you give Jennifer a good deal. Yes, we will. A permanent Christmas light. Yes. Because you want to use them all year. Well, I think it's so cool when I'm out walking the dogs at night and the Oilers game is on, and people have them like orange and blue, and it looks great. Exactly. I know. So, okay. So, well, all right. But you haven't convinced? No. Okay. But if you're listening, and that's your job, and that's what you do. Give me a call. Give Jennifer an email. Yeah. Or a call, or whatever you do. And yeah. And so maybe you can get a deal going. All right. I don't have any Christmas lights. I do like seeing them. I'm not one of those guys to go driving through Candy Cane Lane. I don't do that. But I do like Christmas lights. I like seeing them. Yeah. They're nice. They're pretty festive. They are. And so kudos to all the people that do that. Yes. But thanks for making it nice for the rest of us. Agreed. Okay. What else about Christmas? What else about? Oh, oh, okay. Well, I don't know if I'm even going to ask you this because you don't buy the gifts. No, I don't. No. What's your preference? A wrapped gift or a gift bag? Okay. I do have a very strong opinion on this. I really do. And I believe the day we went to Christmas gift bags was a low point for Christmas. I think Christmas presents should be wrapped. I'm sorry. I just, first of all, okay, number one, anybody can look in the bag and see what's in there. Yeah, but that's when you seal the bag. And then, okay, so here's, you have to have the bag, you have to have tissue. Here's the thing with tissue. People over buy the bag, and then they feel, oh, it's just a little gift, and they have to stuff it with tissue. Okay, so then, you gotta get it through all the... Secondly, I've gotten gifts even recently. I won't mention from whom. I can't get the gift out of the bag. The box is too big, and those things frustrate me. Oh, I can't, and I'm struggling. You do have strong opinions about this. No, I really do. You really do. If I ever, no, anyway, so the wrapping paper, just tear it off and it's done. You're like a two-year-old, like... And it's done. Okay. All right. Now, what about, okay, so, sorry to people who sell, sorry to the dollar store that sells like a trillion... Hey, it's where I go every year to buy my bags. I know, my wife too, every year. It's like a trillion Christmas gift bags. But sometimes things won't fit in a box. You don't have a box big enough, so you need a gift bag. Just buy wrapping paper. No, no. And wrap them. Like, I know it's a little bit of work, and I'm not a good wrapping guy. I don't, I don't. But it's the thought that counts, not the, I'm not one of those fancy. No, I don't do fancy. I used to take gifts to the mall, and have them wrapped in there. I remember when they did that. Can they still do that? I don't know, because I don't buy the gifts. I haven't seen that advertised for a long time. No, I know. But that was a great idea. That was a great idea, and they did a wonderful job. I know. And you give it to them, and then you go have a coffee, and you come back, and your gifts are all done, and your family would go, Whoa! They thought you spent a lot of time and effort. I know. And I just let them believe that I did it. Yeah, who's going to say anything? They knew though, because they're like, he didn't do this, that's for sure. No. But anyway, okay. What about you? You like gift bags? Well, it's easy. I know. It's convenient, right? It's convenient. I know. Yeah, it's convenient. It's a combo. It's both. I do both. By the time Christmas rolls around, you're just looking for the easy way out of everything. It kind of are, right? Yeah. Yeah, I agree. Wow. Okay. So that's a lot of stuff at Christmas. It is a lot of stuff. Now, I think our picture that we're going to put up for this podcast, if you're on social media, you and I decorated some gingerbreads. And so... Gingerbread, yes. Man. Well, I don't know what they are, actually. I don't know. Anyway, I didn't... We'll call them gingerbread people. I guess so, yeah. But so we're going to put those up. And so if you feel so inclined to comment on our gingerbread people... Oh, boy, that don't... I don't know. Yeah, they're not... We're not... Yeah, I might still have the best. But anyway, we'll put it up on the social media when we drop this podcast. We will. And we can check it out. Yeah. Jennifer, wow, that went by really fast. That kind of covers Christmas for us. I know. Is there anything we left out? Well, probably, but... I know. Christmas is just... It always seems to sneak up every year. And I know, I know we have lots of time leading up, but... Well, August. I don't know. Starts in August. I know. And then it's here, and it's gone. And it's gone. And all the hoopla and everything is kind of over. Yeah, it's over. Yeah, it's kind of like that. Yeah, our pants don't fit, because we've had so much baking. Our pants don't fit. That's right. Oh, my goodness me. Yeah. Okay, so here's my other tip. Can I give a tip? Yeah, give a Christmas... We need Christmas tips. Don't dress up for Christmas dinner. I agree. Sweatpants. Honestly... If I could wear shorts, it's a little cold. But be comfy. I know. Wear loose pants. Exactly. What's... You don't need to dress up. No. I mean, and we never talked about this, but like, I don't know about your Christmas dinner, but my family, we have about 40 some people that come, and it's the full-on Christmas dinner. Full-on. Full-on. You know, I think you're the same. We talked about this. And it's everything. The turkey, the stuffing, the potatoes, the gravy, the everything. Why would you constrict yourself by wearing tight pants? So for all those people that have to dress up to sit at the... I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Yeah. I just want to be comfy. Me too. And enjoy my meal. Exactly. So yeah. Well, that's a good tip, actually. And so if you're a dress up family at Christmas, all the best, to ya. If you're like Jennifer and me, just whatever and just enjoy. Yeah. Yeah. Do you have a tip? A Christmas tip? Do I have a tip? I think I've given away a few tips and opinions here. I don't really feel qualified to have a tip. All right. Well, easy did I, but I threw it out there. No, that was a good tip, though. That was a good tip. My tip would be, I don't know what my tip would be. My tip would be, I don't know, just like, I don't know, just don't go to the mall. Don't go to the mall. That is a good tip. And listen, don't go to the mall on Boxing Day. That's like, you may as well just go. It's like, you know what that reminds me of? The running of the bulls in Spain. But the deal, do you agree, okay, let's get on this topic for a quick second, that the deals just aren't what they used to be anyway. So there's no need to go. And it's like month long. When I was a teenager, yeah, that's right, Boxing Day has turned into Boxing 6 months. But anyway, when I was a teenager, I would get up at 5 a.m. and go stand in line at A&B Sound to get my cassette tape player for like $19. They don't have nothing like that anymore. No, I agree. So I'm not getting up. Me either. And I'm not going to the mall. Like I say, it's like Spain, the running of the bulls. You're going to get trampled. Somebody's going to run over you. And again, it's a month long sale. There's no need people. No, exactly. And thank God for Amazon and the Boxing Day sales on Amazon. But anyway, all right. Well, Jennifer, that's it. That's our time. Wow. What a year. What a year. What a year. Stay tuned because we are going to do a podcast A Year In Review. We are, and I'm excited for our A Year In Review. I want to say thank you to all our listeners. Yes. You've been fantastic. You have. Our numbers have grown. It's been a little humbling. It's like when we started, we thought maybe our families. And so we've really tried to do our best to bring you people and guests that you find interesting and maybe encouraging, that kind of stuff. And I want to say thank you to our guests. Yes. And we'll talk more about that in our year end review. We will, but just something. No one has said no to us, Cam. Nobody. No one. Nobody. So thank you. Yeah. Well, actually one person. I won't mention that one, but I know why. And they have a very good reason. Okay, it's a valid reason, yes. It's a scary thing to tell. Anyways, but nobody has. No. And we've got great guests coming in the new year. I am excited for 2025. It's going to be fantastic. So like we say, the ABA Coffee In The Park, the story behind the story, that's what we've tried to bring you. That's right.
